Frequently asked questions – Regulatory Update
Why have you made this change?
We’ve simplified our status to make things more efficient. Premium Medical Protection (PMP) will become the trading name of Harley Street Insurance Group (HSIG), which remains fully authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Are you still regulated?
Yes. HSIG is authorised and regulated by the FCA (Firm Reference Number 570717), and will trade as PMP. Your protection under FCA regulation continues exactly as before.
What does this mean for my policy?
There is no impact to your policy. Your cover, policy terms, service, how we calculate your premiums, and contact team all remain the same.
Is MedPro still my insurer?
Yes. Your policy continues to be underwritten by Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance Limited, trading as MedPro. This change does not affect that relationship.
Will anything change in my documents?
Yes — minor changes to how we describe ourselves in your policy documents.
When will I see the new wording within my documents?
If your policy renews on or after 1 November 2025, you will see the updated wording in your renewal documentation. If you renew before that date, your documents will remain unchanged until your next renewal.
Do I need to do anything?
No action is required from you. This is for your information only.
